You know that feeling when your kid is bursting with creativity and you just want to showcase everything they’ve made? It's like each crayon drawing, each glittery masterpiece, is a little window into their imaginative world. I can’t help but wonder, why not create a special place for these art pieces? My fridge can barely handle it anymore! I remember last week when my daughter handed me her latest ‘modern art’ explosion – a wild mix of stickers and finger paint that I thought, ‘Wow, this deserves more than just a spot on the kitchen counter!’ So, I can’t shake off this idea of building a kids’ art display board. Wouldn't it be incredible to celebrate their creativity in a way that feels personal and fun?

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather All My Supplies
First, I’ll gather all my supplies. I have my corkboard, push pins, colorful markers, art paper, canvas panels, clipboards, photo frame clips, string, command strips, scissors, tape, paints, brushes, decorative items like stickers, and my ruler. Everything is spread out on the table, ready to go!
Step 2: Prepare the Corkboard
Next, I’ll take out my corkboard. It’s a blank canvas waiting to be transformed. I lay it flat on the table and might even choose a spot on the wall where I want to hang it later.
Step 3: Choose a Fun Color Scheme
I decide on a fun color scheme for my art display. I take the markers and draw some colorful borders around the edges of the corkboard. This is going to make it pop!
Step 4: Make Art Pieces
Now it’s time to get creative! I take my art paper and start drawing or painting some fun pieces. Maybe a colorful rainbow, some animals, or even handprints. I make sure they are vibrant and cheerful!
Step 5: Mount My Art Creatively
Once my art pieces are done, I pick up my push pins. I pin my favorite artworks onto the corkboard. I can arrange them in different patterns – like a gallery wall!
Step 6: Add 3D Elements
To make it even more interesting, I take my canvas panels and place some small artwork on them too. I use the clipboards to hang some of my sketches. It gives the board a dynamic look!
Step 7: Decorate with String & Clips
I take the string or wire and hang it across the corkboard using command strips to secure the ends. I clip some artwork using photo frame clips along the string. This adds layers and dimension!
Step 8: Personal Touches with Stickers
Now, I sprinkle some fun stickers around the board. Stars, hearts, and colorful designs that match my artwork. It’s starting to come alive with personality!
Step 9: Final Adjustments
I step back and look at my corkboard. I decide to add a couple of decorative items and adjust the placement of some art pieces. Everything looks fantastic!
Step 10: Display My Art Board
Finally, I use command strips to hang the corkboard on the wall at the perfect height. I can’t wait to show off my kids' art display board and share it with everyone!
Step 11: Enjoy the Art Display
Now that it’s all done, I take a moment to admire my work. I can’t wait to see more art pieces from the kids to add to our display in the future. This DIY project was so much fun!
