I’ve been thinking a lot about how to celebrate my kids’ creativity lately—have you ever noticed how every scribble or paint splatter feels like a tiny glimpse into their little minds? It just melts my heart! So, why not create a vibrant art display wall at home? Imagine walking through the hallway and being greeted by a colorful explosion of their favorite masterpieces. I can already picture it: a rotating gallery of joyful expression, reminders of just how brilliant they are. Doesn’t it seem like every parent should have one of those? I mean, what could be more special than showcasing their art like it’s in a real museum? Let’s be honest, those refrigerator doors can only hold so much! Plus, I remember the thrill I felt as a child seeing my own drawings celebrated—there's something magical about it. So here I am, ready to turn a boring wall into a celebration of creativity! Excited, right?

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather Your Equipment
I start by gathering all the supplies I’ll need for the kids art display wall: corkboard, push pins, wall-mounting supplies, art supplies, picture frames, string, clothespins, art display wire, stapler, decorative borders, and some paint or wallpaper. It's like a treasure hunt in my craft room!
Step 2: Choose the Location
Next, I find the perfect wall in our house where the kids can easily reach and see their artwork. I want it to be bright and cheerful, so I make sure it’s in a spot they visit often, like the playroom or hallway.
Step 3: Prepare the Wall
Before I mount anything, I grab some paint or wallpaper I've picked out. I love the idea of giving the background a splash of color! I paint or hang the wallpaper to make the art display wall pop with personality.
Step 4: Mount the Corkboard or Pegboard
Now, it's time to get the corkboard or pegboard up on the wall! I take the wall-mounting supplies – brackets or adhesive strips – and secure it in place. I make sure it’s straight and nice and sturdy, so it can hold tons of artwork.
Step 5: Add Decorative Borders
To give the corkboard a fun flair, I add decorative borders or stencils around the edges. This part is so much fun because I get to be creative and make it look unique! I love how it already starts to brighten up the space.
Step 6: Set Up Art Display Options
Next, I place push pins around or set up pegboard hooks. I also get some string and clothespins ready if I want to have a hanging art display option. I think the kids will love using clothespins to hang their latest masterpieces!
Step 7: Create an Art Wire Display
If I’m feeling extra creative, I might set up some art display wire across the board. I secure it with some hooks or staples, making a neat spot to clip their artwork on. This will make switching out art super easy!
Step 8: Frame Their Best Works
I also prepare some picture frames that I can use to showcase particularly amazing pieces of art. I pick the colors that match the decor I've created and hang them up, giving the kids a special way to display their proudest creations.
Step 9: Stock Up on Art Supplies
With the display area set, I bring over some art supplies – markers, paint, and crayons – and put them in a fun bin nearby. I want to encourage the kids to create even more art, so having supplies on hand is a must!
Step 10: Invite the Kids to Decorate
Finally, I call the kids over to show them what I've created! I let them help in choosing which art goes up first and let them decorate their little space. I love seeing their eyes light up as they hang up their art on our new display wall!
Step 11: Celebrate the Completed Wall
With everything in place, we take a step back and admire our work. I’ll even take a picture of this proud moment. Now our kids can showcase their talent, and I can't wait to see what masterpieces they create to fill this wall!
