Have you ever just wanted to dive into a project that brings out your inner child? I’ve been toying with this idea for a while now, and I can’t shake the thought of building a mini brick maze in my living room! It's a wild thought, isn’t it? I mean, who wouldn’t want to see little plastic figures navigating through a labyrinth of colorful bricks? I remember spending hours creating makeshift mazes out of whatever I could find as a kid, and honestly, it’s nostalgic. Wouldn’t it be the ultimate stress relief to get lost in the creative process again? Just imagining those little characters finding their way through brings such a spark of joy. Plus, who doesn't love a bit of whimsy in their life?

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather all my materials
First, I went through my supplies and collected all the necessary equipment. I laid out the LEGO bricks, baseplate, maze design template, decorative pieces, maze runner toy, adhesive putty, timer, camera, craft knife, and markers on my workspace.
Step 2: Design the maze
Using the maze design template, I sketched out a fun and challenging maze layout on a piece of paper. I made sure to include twists, turns, and maybe a few dead ends to keep it interesting.
Step 3: Build the base
Next, I took the baseplate and laid it down as the foundation of my maze. This is where everything will come together!
Step 4: Construct the maze walls
I started stacking the LEGO bricks following my design template. I built up the walls of the maze, making sure they were high enough to keep the maze runner toy inside.
Step 5: Add decorative pieces
To make my maze visually appealing, I decorated it with some fun pieces! I added trees, bushes, and maybe a few mini-figures to make it feel lively.
Step 6: Test the maze runner toy
Once the maze was fully constructed, I placed the maze runner toy at the starting point and prepared to send it through the maze. I used adhesive putty to hold it in place if it needed adjusting.
Step 7: Set the timer
I grabbed my timer and set it up, getting ready to time how long it will take the maze runner to solve the maze. I was excited to see if it could beat the time!
Step 8: Record the run
As the maze runner toy navigated through the paths, I recorded the event with my camera. It was thrilling to watch it twist and turn!
Step 9: Analyze the results
Once the maze runner completed the course, I stopped the timer and noted the time. I wanted to see how fast it was able to navigate through my maze.
Step 10: Add finishing touches
Finally, I picked up my markers and pens to label the start and finish points on the baseplate, adding some fun phrases to celebrate the journey.
Step 11: Invite friends for a challenge
To make it even more fun, I invited some friends over and set up a maze race! Everyone could take turns and see who could navigate the maze the quickest!
