- Glue Gun
- Hot Glue Sticks
- Wood Base/Board
- Greenery Accents
- Command Strips
- Scissors
- Floral Tape
- Paint (optional)
- Wall Art (optional)
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather My Supplies
First things first, I gather all my supplies. I spread out the faux flowers, greenery accents, floral wire, glue gun, hot glue sticks, wood base, scissors, floral tape, and command strips on my craft table. I even set aside some paint and wall art just in case I want to add a personal touch.
Step 2: Plan My Design
Next, I take a few moments to think about my design. I lay the flowers and greenery out on the wood base without attaching them yet, playing around with different layouts until I find one that I love. I want to create a whimsical flower garden!
Step 3: Prepare the Base
If I decide to paint my wood base, now is the time! I pick a cheerful color that will complement my flowers. Once the paint is dry, I’m ready to attach the flowers.
Step 4: Secure the Flowers
I start with the largest flowers, choosing my favorites, and I begin attaching them to the wood base using my glue gun. I apply hot glue to the base of each flower and press it firmly onto the wood. I love seeing my wall art come to life!
Step 5: Add Texture with Greenery
Next, I take the greenery accents and fill in the spaces between the flowers. I cut some pieces to the desired length and attach them using floral wire or more hot glue. This adds depth and dimension to my decorative wall.
Step 6: Finish with Details
With the main flowers and greenery in place, I now embellish with smaller flowers or fillers. I use floral tape to group smaller flowers together and attach them in spots where I need a bit more color.
Step 7: Let It Dry
I make sure everything is securely attached and then let it dry for a bit. It's always exciting to watch my craft come together!
Step 8: Prepare to Hang
Once the glue is dry, I assess my creation. If I want to hang it on the wall, I attach command strips to the back of the wood base. I ensure they are evenly placed to support the weight.
Step 9: Hang and Enjoy!
Finally, I find the perfect spot on the wall and hang my beautiful flower-inspired decorative wall art. I step back and admire my handiwork. It adds such a cheerful and vibrant touch to my space!
