I’ve got this perfect little nook in my kitchen that’s begging for a rustic storage shelf. I can just imagine it now: warm wood, perhaps some weathered paint, holding all my mismatched mugs and herby plants. Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Gather My Materials

I start by laying out all my equipment. I have lumber, wood screws, wood glue, sanding tools, wood finish or sealant, a drill, a saw, measuring tape, a level, clamps, safety goggles, a dust mask, and my trusty workbench. Time to get to work!

Step 2: Measure and Cut the Lumber

With my measuring tape in hand, I measure out the lengths I need for the shelves and the sides. I make sure to add a little extra for the rustic effect. Then, I grab my saw and cut the lumber with precision. Safety goggles on!

Step 3: Assemble the Frame

Now it’s time to assemble the frame of the shelf. I take the pieces I just cut and arrange them into a rectangular shape. I use wood screws and wood glue to secure the corners together. The smell of the wood glue fills the air, and I can already envision my shelf.
