You know that feeling when the seasons change and suddenly your home feels a bit, well, off? Like, I don’t know about you, but each fall I get this itch to bring a little bit of the outdoors inside. I mean, who doesn’t love the cozy vibe of a crispy autumn day, right? Last year, I hung up a vibrant pumpkin themed door curtain, and every time I walked by it, I felt a wave of warmth and happiness wash over me. Does your space deserve a seasonal touch, too? I can just picture now—a bright, breezy summer curtain filled with sunflowers, or a festive winter decor that makes even the grumpiest guest crack a smile. It’s those little things that bring back the joys of the seasons and make our homes feel truly special.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather Your Equipment
I rounded up all my supplies: fabric in a fun, seasonal print, measuring tape, scissors, my trusty sewing machine, matching thread, a curtain rod, some curtain rings or clips, an iron, and a few decorative accessories to give my curtain some flair.
Step 2: Measure the Window
I meticulously measured the width and height of the door where the curtain will hang. I added a few extra inches to the width for a lovely gather and some length for a nice drop.
Step 3: Cut the Fabric
With my scissors, I carefully cut the fabric according to the measurements I took. I made sure to cut straight and neat—no one likes frayed edges!
Step 4: Sew the Edges
I set up my sewing machine and got it threaded with my chosen thread color. I folded over the edges of the fabric to create neat hems and sewed them down to prevent fraying and create a polished look.
Step 5: Create the Curtain Rod Pocket
I folded down the top of the fabric to make a pocket for the curtain rod. I sewed along the edge, leaving enough space for the rod to fit through without being too tight.
Step 6: Iron the Curtain
I plugged in my iron and pressed the fabric to remove any wrinkles. This fabric was looking sharp and ready for action!
Step 7: Add Decorative Accessories
Here comes the fun part! I took out my decorative accessories and added some whimsical touches to the curtain—a fun pom-pom trim along the bottom and maybe some seasonal appliqué shapes.
Step 8: Attach Curtain Rings or Clips
I clipped the curtain rings onto the top pocket I made, evenly spaced, so they would slide smoothly on the rod.
Step 9: Hang the Curtain
I carefully hung the curtain on the rod, adjusting it until it looked just right. I stepped back to admire my handiwork!
Step 10: Final Touches
I made a final inspection, adjusting any uneven spots and ensuring the curtain hung beautifully. My seasonal door curtain was complete and ready to brighten up the entryway!
