Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Set up a clean and organized workspace with all your tools and materials ready. Ensure you have surface protection in place to avoid mess.
Step 2: Choose a Design
Select or create a design template for your keychain holder. You can use design software or templates available online.
Step 3: Prepare the Mold
Choose the appropriate keychain holder mold that fits your design and clean it thoroughly to ensure there are no debris or dust.
Step 4: Mix Epoxy Resin
Follow the instructions to mix the epoxy resin with the correct ratio of resin and hardener in a mixing cup.
Step 5: Add Color Pigments
If desired, add color pigments to the mixed resin to achieve your desired color and mix thoroughly.
Step 6: Pour the Resin into the Mold
Carefully pour the colored resin into the keychain holder mold, filling it to the top and avoiding any air bubbles.
Step 7: Cure the Resin
Allow the resin to cure as per the manufacturer's instructions. This could take several hours to overnight.
Step 8: Demold the Keychain Holder
Once the resin is fully cured, gently remove the keychain holder from the mold.
Step 9: Sand and Polish the Edges
Use sandpaper or polishing tools to smooth out any rough edges on the keychain holder for a professional finish.
Step 10: Personalize the Keychain Holder
Use a laser cutter or engraver to add names, initials, or designs to personalize the keychain holder.
Step 11: Attach Keychain Rings and Jump Rings
Using a drill and small drill bits, create holes if necessary, then attach keychain rings and jump rings to the keychain holder.
Step 12: Apply Spray Sealer
Once everything is assembled, apply a spray sealer to protect the keychain from scratches and enhance its finish.
Step 13: Final Inspection
Check the finished product for any imperfections and make sure everything is securely attached and looks great.
