You know that feeling when the first bloom of spring hits and you just want to capture it all forever? I’ve been thinking about making a custom outdoor calendar—something that really speaks to the seasons in my own backyard. I mean, how many times have I tried to take that perfect shot of a sunset or the kids playing in the fallen leaves, only to forget later? It would be so special to look at a calendar that reminds me of those moments, right? What if each month told a story, filled with memories and little snippets of our outdoor adventures? Just yesterday, I watched my son chase butterflies in the garden, his laughter ringing through the air—it made me realize how these fleeting moments deserve to be celebrated. So why not create something beautiful that reflects our family’s journey through nature? I can already picture it—each page a nostalgia trip, a little piece of art honoring the wild, wonderful life we live outside.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather Equipment
I start by collecting all the equipment I need for my outdoor calendar project: Cardstock Paper, Pencil, Printer, Photo Paper, Binding Supplies, Scissors, Hole Punch, Markers and Colored Pens, Ruler, Calendar Template, Digital Design Software, Outdoor Hooks or Clips, and Laminating Sheets.
Step 2: Design the Calendar
I open my Digital Design Software and start designing my calendar. I use the Calendar Template, changing the colors and adding fun graphics that reflect the outdoors.
Step 3: Add Personal Touches
I personalize the calendar by adding important dates, like family birthdays and outdoor events, making it unique to me.
Step 4: Print the Calendar
Once I’m satisfied with the design, I print the calendar pages on Cardstock Paper to ensure they’re durable.
Step 5: Decorate the Pages
With my markers and colored pens, I add extra decorations and doodles to each month to make it visually interesting.
Step 6: Cut Out the Pages
Using my scissors, I carefully cut out each month’s page along the edges.
Step 7: Laminating for Durability
I laminate each page using Laminating Sheets. This will protect them from the weather since it's an outdoor calendar!
Step 8: Bind the Calendar
I organize the laminated pages in order and use my Binding Supplies to bind them at the top. This makes it easy to flip through each month.
Step 9: Hole Punch for Hanging
Next, I take a Hole Punch and punch holes into the top of the calendar so I can hang it up.
Step 10: Attach Hooks or Clips
I attach my Outdoor Hooks or Clips to the top of the calendar so I can hang it outside.
Step 11: Display the Calendar
Finally, I find the perfect spot outside to hang my colorful custom calendar. I step back and admire my handiwork, excited to see it brighten up my outdoor space!
