Lately, I've been thinking it would be so wonderful to create my own DIY summer essential oil kit. Can you imagine mixing together the fresh, zesty scents of lemon and eucalyptus, or perhaps some calming lavender? Just the thought makes me feel giddy! Last weekend, I was lounging in my garden, and the scent of the mint I grew just filled the air – it was pure bliss! Why not bottle up that joy and share it with friends? What a fun way to infuse our summer adventures with nature’s aroma! So, here I am, ready to dive into this project and craft something truly special for those sunny days ahead.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
First things first, I need to gather all my materials. I'm excited to lay out the essential oil bottles, carrier oils like jojoba and sweet almond, a dropper, a glass mixing bowl, measuring spoons, my handy labels, a small funnel, a dark glass spray bottle for my sprays, and of course, my essential oil blends book!
Step 2: Choose My Scents
Next, I flip through my essential oil blends book to find the perfect summer scents. I'm thinking about fresh citrus like lemon and orange mixed with some soothing lavender and mint. Ah, summer in a bottle!
Step 3: Measure and Mix
Now it's time to measure! I grab my measuring spoons and the glass mixing bowl. I carefully measure out the essential oils according to the recipe I chose. Let's say I'm starting with 5 drops of lemon, 3 drops of lavender, and 2 drops of peppermint. It smells divine already!
Step 4: Add Carrier Oil
After mixing my essential oils, I know I have to dilute them with a carrier oil. I pick my favorite, the jojoba oil, and pour it into my mixing bowl using the small funnel to avoid spills. I mix everything gently, ensuring a perfect blend.
Step 5: Label the Bottles
I grab some labels and write down my blend's name and the date. It’s important to keep track of what I make! This will help me remember my favorite blends for next time. I stick the labels on my essential oil bottles like a proud artist!
Step 6: Fill the Bottles
Now for the fun part! I use the dropper to carefully fill my 10 ml essential oil bottles with my summer blend. I make sure to leave a little space at the top. It feels so satisfying to see my creations take shape!
Step 7: Create a Spray
With some of my blend left over, I decide to make a refreshing spray. I pour the remaining blend into the dark glass spray bottle and fill it up with water. I shake it gently and admire my new summer essential oil spray!
Step 8: Track My Recipes
Before I finish, I take out my notebook and jot down all of my recipes, including the proportions for future reference. It’s a good idea to keep track of what I created today so that I can recreate my summer favorites!
Step 9: Enjoy My Creations
With everything completed, I can’t wait to use my DIY summer essential oil kit. I can already feel the refreshing scents enhancing my summer days! Time to relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor!
