Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather My Supplies
First, I head to my craft area and gather all my equipment for making these delightful bath bombs. I make sure I have my Mixing Bowl, Whisk, Bath Bomb Molds, Measuring Cups, Measuring Spoons, Spoon, Essential Oils, and all the ingredients like Citric Acid, Baking Soda, Epsom Salt, Food Coloring, and some fun Glitter!
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In my Mixing Bowl, I start by measuring out the dry ingredients. I take 1 cup of Baking Soda, 1/2 cup of Citric Acid, and 1/2 cup of Epsom Salt. I whisk them together with my Whisk until they’re combined, making a nice fluffy mix.
Step 3: Add Color and Fragrance
Next, I choose my favorite Food Coloring. A few drops will do! I also grab my Essential Oils — I love lavender for a relaxing bath, so I add about 10-15 drops. Then, I mix them in with a Spoon until the color is evenly distributed.
Step 4: Create a Slightly Wet Mixture
Now, I need to add a bit of moisture. So, I fill a small cup with water and slowly add it to my dry mix, a little at a time. I carefully whisk as I add to ensure it doesn’t fizz too much. I want it to hold together when squeezed in my hands, a bit like wet sand.
Step 5: Mold the Bath Bombs
With the mixture just right, it's time to mold my bath bombs! I take my Bath Bomb Molds and pack the mixture tightly in each half. Then, I squeeze the two halves together and let them sit for a few moments to hold their shape.
Step 6: Set to Dry
I carefully remove the bath bombs from the molds and place them on a piece of Parchment Paper. Now, I let them dry for about 24 hours. This part is super exciting as I can already imagine how they will look and smell!
Step 7: Add Sparkle
Once dry, I take a moment to add some fun! Using my glitter or mica powder, I sprinkle a bit on top of each bath bomb for that extra sparkle. Because who doesn’t love a bit of shimmer in their bath?
Step 8: Package for Gifting
Finally, I take out my Storage Container. I gently place the bath bombs inside, making sure to separate them with a bit of Parchment Paper, so they don’t stick together. They are now ready to be given as gifts to brighten someone’s day!
Step 9: Enjoy the Compliments
Once I gift them to my friends, I can't wait to hear their reactions when they pop these colorful fizzies into their baths. The best part of DIY is sharing the joy!
