Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather Your Equipment
First, I gather all my equipment on the kitchen counter. I have Mixing bowls, Measuring cups, Measuring spoons, a Whisk, a Spatula, Ziploc bags, Labels, a Sifter, a Funnel, Air-tight containers, an Oven, Baking sheets, and Parchment paper all ready to go!
Step 2: Choose Your Cookie Recipe
I decide on the cookie mix I want to create. Today, I am going for classic chocolate chip cookies. Yum! I note down the ingredients you'll need: flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips.
Step 3: Measure Dry Ingredients
I grab my Mixing bowls and start measuring out the dry ingredients. First, I sift 2 cups of all-purpose flour into one of the bowls using my sifter. This makes sure there are no lumps!
Step 4: Continue Measuring Dry Ingredients
Next, I measure 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt, and add them to the flour. I give it a good whisk to combine everything. It’s starting to look like real cookie mix!
Step 5: Blend Sugars
In another bowl, I measure out 3/4 cup of brown sugar and 3/4 cup of white sugar. I mix them together using my whisk, letting the sweet aroma fill the kitchen.
Step 6: Combine Everything into One Bowl
Now comes the fun part! I add the sugar mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. I gently fold everything together with my spatula—it feels like cookie magic!
Step 7: Add the Chocolate Chips
I can’t forget about the chocolate chips! I measure out 1 cup and fold those into the mix. More magic is happening as I imagine all the gooey chocolate in my future cookies!
Step 8: Pack It Up
Now it’s time for packaging! I take my Ziploc bags and carefully spoon the cookie mix into each bag until they’re about 3/4 full.
Step 9: Label the Bags
With a smile, I grab my labels and write down the instructions for baking: 'Add 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.' I stick the labels on each bag.
Step 10: Store the Mixes
I place the filled and labeled Ziploc bags into my air-tight containers, sealing them up tight. I can't wait to share these with my friends!
Step 11: Clean Up
Finally, I take a minute to clean up my kitchen. All that cooking creates a bit of a mess, but it's totally worth it for cookie mixes!
Step 12: Bake Some Cookies
Soon after, I’ll be reaching into my air-tight container, pulling out one of these bags, and baking the cookies! The smell of fresh cookies is going to be amazing!
