Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Gather My Equipment
Alright, first things first! I need to gather all my equipment. I’m pulling out my Glass Spray Bottles, Plastic Funnel, Measuring Cups, Measuring Spoons, Mixing Bowls, Labels, and all the ingredients like Essential Oils, Alcohol, Distilled Water, Salt, Vinegar, and of course, my Protective Gloves and Face Mask!
Step 2: Prepare the Mixing Area
Next, I’m setting up my mixing area. I’m making sure it’s clean and organized. I can’t wait to blend my ingredients together! I lay out my Mixing Bowl, Stirring Stick, and everything else within easy reach.
Step 3: Choose My Recipe
Time to choose a recipe for my natural insect spray! I think I’ll go for a simple one with essential oils like peppermint and lavender because they smell amazing and insects hate them!
Step 4: Measure Out Ingredients
Now, using my Measuring Cups, I’m going to measure out 1 cup of Distilled Water, 1/4 cup of Alcohol, and 10 drops of peppermint essential oil. I’m so excited to see how this comes together!
Step 5: Mix Ingredients
In my Mixing Bowl, I’m pouring in the Distilled Water and Alcohol, and then adding the essential oil drops. I grab my Stirring Stick and mix it all up! It starts to smell lovely!
Step 6: Add Optional Ingredients
If I want to make it extra potent, I’ve got some salt and vinegar to toss in too! A teaspoon of salt and a splash of vinegar should do the trick! I add them to the mix and stir again.
Step 7: Transfer to Spray Bottle
Time to transfer my amazing mixture into the Glass Spray Bottle! I grab my Plastic Funnel and carefully pour the mixture. I want to make sure I don’t spill a drop because this stuff isgoing to be incredible!
Step 8: Label My Creation
Now that my spray is all set, it’s time to label it! I pull out my Labels and write 'Natural Insect Spray - Peppermint & Lavender' on it. I can’t wait to use it!
Step 9: Clean Up
Last but not least, I clean up my area. It’s important to keep everything neat and tidy. I rinse my Mixing Bowl and wash my Measuring Cups and Spoons. I feel great about this process!
Step 10: Test My Spray
Now, it's the moment of truth! I put on my Face Mask and Protective Gloves, grab my spray bottle, and head outside to give it a test on a small patch of garden. Let's see how the insects react!
